Greetings in the matchless name of Jesus Christ!!


From the statistics of ministry of manpower (MOM), there are nearly 995,000 work permit/S-pass holders in Singapore. They are working in various sectors across various industries in Singapore.

By the Grace of Our Lord Jesus Christ, we as Gems team (likeminded working professionals from different denominations / churches) visit our neighborhood dormitories every weekend on Sunday evenings near Boonlay area (kian tech lane) where our Indian migrant workers are stationed. Our main principle goes by as spelt in Proverbs 11:30, "The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise".

We positioned Blue star dormitory as our anchor point and started our Evangelism works from there. We started distributing tracts every weekend, counsel them on a regular basis, stand with them in prayer and uplift their soft skills for their betterment in their workplace.

With Lord's hand covering us, after 2+ years our Lord is leading us in a clear definite path where we hit an average attendance of 30 workers attending our evening service on Sundays. It's really a tough ground for evangelism as they come from different assorted places and the tough mindset they have after a hard-hit labour working for six and sometimes seven days a week. With no church support, we as an independent body, wanted to do something for the Lord and be part of the Great Commission and understanding our mandate as spelt in Mark 16:15 "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature", have established the following purely by His Grace:
 One-to-one evangelism & Tracts Distribution
 Praying for the Salvation of new souls
 Basic Computer course
 Basic English speaking course
 Sunday Evening service with Worship, Sharing of Word and Fellowship
 Bible Study on Saturday evenings for mature believers near Blue star dormitory, enabling them to be deeply rooted in the word of God
 Conducting Bible Quizzes
 Half-yearly Health Screening & Public Holiday Outreach
We are in the process of grooming second level leaders within themselves and motivated them to be more focused for reaching out new souls as they are in the near vicinity. As a starting point, some brothers meet up on Wednesdays after work and join together for prayer, fellowship and mutual understanding. This would for sure spur up them to be part of Lord’s work. We believe in Team work and Cluster dynamics and started our Second Counseling Outreach at Soon Lee Dorm on 5th Oct, 2008 and Please uphold us in your prayers and if time permits, please visit us on Sunday evenings to have a first hand feel of Lord's work.
